Colombo is the commercial and business center of Sri Lanka located on west coast. The city blends together with old colonial
type building, high-rise commercial buildings and hotels. It is filled with shopping malls. Some of the  finest structures built during the colonial times still preserved in one part of

Transfer to Sigiriya.
Climb the citadel of Sigiriya which was built in 5th  century. Sigiriya is treated  as one of the most  remarkable creations in the world, built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD).  Path through the gardens along Stone stairways come to the Lion Gate. Only the rock carving and the brick  structure is evident today of  the lion’s mouth through  which millions of  people have walked to  admire he beauty of this  magnificent citadel. Optional – Village Tour Enjoy an excursion that  takes you through the real  Sri Lankan Villages. Clients  will be able to ride on a  Bullock Cart, a three wheeler & have a homely  cooked meal. Transfer to Anuradhapura
Visit Anuradhapura the first capital of Sri Lanka  which is a UNESCO world  heritage city. Anuradhapura  was once a  very wealthy monastic city  which created a unique  culture and a great  civilization. British explores discovered this lost city in  19th century. Visit many historical and archeological  important places at Anuradhapura such as  Sacred Bo-Tree (Sri Maha  Bodhi), the right branch of  the secret Bodhi tree where  Buddha attained  enlightenment and one of the oldest historical  documented tree in the  world, Ruwanweliseya  which was Built by King  Dutugemunu.

Visit Mihintale
Mihintale is an interesting site both holistically &  historically. Buddhism was  introduced to Sri Lanka by  Arahath Mahinda on top of  this mountain peak  thousands of years back. It  is been visited by many  Buddhist & non Buddhist visitors. A number of archaeologically important  monuments could be still  seen scattered around the  place.

Transfer to Polonnaruwa & Explore Polonnaruwa by Cycles. 
Visit Polonnaruwa the  second capital of Sri Lanka  from 1017 A.D to 1235 A.D.  Polonnaruwa is also a  UNESCO world heritage  city. You will be able to see  the ruins of Royal Palace  king Parakramabahu,  Audience Hall, the statue of  king Parakramabahu, Watadage, the Galpotha, Parakrama Samudraya (Sea  of Parakrama) which was built by King  Parakramabahu I, covers an  area of 5940 acres and  the elegant Lotus pond was  built in 12th century.There  are also famous monument  of worship such as the Gal Viharaya which has 4  magnificent carved Buddha  statues, Kiri Vehera (the  remains of a former Temple  of the Tooth Relic)  and Shiva Temple. The city  will be explored by bicycles. 

Transfer to Dambulla Cave Temple
Dambulla Rock temple was built by King Walagamba  during the 1st Century B.C.  The major attraction of  Dambulla is the largest and  best preserved cave temple  complex which covers an area about 2,100 m².  Dambulla is a UNESCO world heritage site

Transfer to Matale & visit a spice garden
Visit a spice garden in Matale to see different  spices for which Sri Lanka  is famous for. During the  medieval periods Muslim  traders dominated spice  trading routes throughout  the Indian Ocean. Spices  had been highly valued as  they were more than a flavoring for food. They  were also used as medicines  and food  preservative. Ceylon  cinnamon was worth  its  weight in gold during  medial times. Guest will be  able to see different spices  and how some of these  spices are grown and  processed. Witness Cookery  demonstrations as well.

Transfer from Matale to Kandy & explore Kandy city
Kandy was the last capital  of Sinhala Kings. The valley  of Kandy is surrounded by  magnificent hills which  made it as the last bastion. Today Kandy offers its  visitors rich collection of art and craft and historical buildings. It includes a collection of ancient  temples buildings, shops of  handicrafts, souvenirs and  gem museums. The temple of tooth relic which houses  the most sacred Buddhist  relic in the world is the  most important amongst ll.  Pay a visit to the Temple in  the evening.

Visit the Famous Ramboda Falls
Ramboda is a breathtaking natural beauty. There is two prominent waterfalls next  to each other. Clients could  take pictures & enjoy the  view from a view deck.

Transfer  from Ramboda to Sree  Padha (Adams Peak)
The  mountain is located in the southern reaches of the Central Highlands. It is revered as one of the most holistic site by Buddhists. Lord Buddha paid a visit to the mountain peak & rested  in one of the caves  (Diva  Guhawa) that has yet  to be  discovered. It is  belived he  kept a Holy Foot  Print on  this  mountain. The name  Sree  Padha is a literal   translation of Holy   Footprint. Visit the peak in the midnight & stay on top till the sunrise which is an out of the world beauty.

Transfer to Seetha Amman Temple
A temple for Lord Rama, Seetha Devi, Luxshmana  and Hanuman built on the  sides of the stream where  Seetha Devi bathed. This is considered a prime location in the Ramayana Trail. Worshiped by many  thousands of Hindu  Devotees around the globe.

Explore Nuwara Eliya

Transfer from Nuwara Eliya to Horton Plains
Transfer to Horton Plains. The world famous Horton Plains National Park is a  very well protected area in  the central highlands of Sri Lanka .The land mass is covered by montane  grassland and cloud forest.  This plateau at an altitude  of 2,100–2,300 metres is  rich in biodiversity and  many specie s found here  are endemic to the region.  Take a walk through the plains enjoying the endless  greenery, Bakers falls &  finally the Worlds End.

Transfer to Ella
Ella is only a small village located high in the mountains. Most visitors to  Ella only spend a couple of  days there. The other nice  thing about Ella is the climate. Hot during the day and nice and cool at night.  If you fancy climbing the  peaks that are dotted  around Ella, then make  sure you take sun  protection and water

Visit the Ravana Falls
The Ravana Falls is a  popular sightseeing  attraction in Sri Lanka. The  falls have been named after the legendary king Ravana, which is connected to the famous Indian epic, the  Ramayana. According to legend, it is said that  Ravana (who was the king  of Sri Lanka at the time)  had kidnapped princess  Sita, and had hidden her in  the caves behind this  waterfall, now simply  known as the Ravana Ella  Cave.

Visit the Kiri Vehera Temple at Katharagama Another valuable Buddhist site, according to history, hallowed by Gautama  Buddha. Built by a regional  king called “Mahasena”,  the Stupa was well  preserved by the latter kings & rulers. The Maduganga River is a  shallow water body in  south-west Sri Lanka, which enters the sea at  Balapitiya. Its  estuary and the many mangrove islets on it  constitute a complex coastal wetland ecosystem. In has high ecological, biological and aesthetic  significance, being home to 303 species of plants.
