Mandalay
The second largest city in Burma and royal capital of Myanmar. You can also see the whole wide of the Mandalay and enjoy beautiful panoramic sunset view at Mandalay Hill.

Inle Lake
The freshwater Lake and second largest Lake in Myanmar. Intha peoples are best-known for their unique one-legged rowing style, Floating garden and trip visit by boat.

Tour Program

Upon arrival at Yangon International Airport, you will be welcomed by a Pegu Travels representative and transferred to your hotel.

Meals Provided: None

You will be picked up from Hotel at 9:00 AM and start our sightseeing tour of some of Yangon’s highlights, including the Reclining Buddha at Chauk Htat Gyi, still a popular place for Buddhist worshippers. Then we will go to the famous Scott Market, a sprawling complex built in 1926 and noted for its variety of handicrafts and other items which provides an excellent opportunity for a shopping spree.

After that visit to downtown bustling streets, visiting some of the British colonial-era architectural gems that remain and the boulevard-like Pansodan Street, which is famous for its architecture and its street-side bookstalls. Then you have a chance to enjoy local tea or coffee with Myanmar traditional snack at local teashop before visit to the Shwedagon Pagoda, the most important religious structure in Myanmar and a point of pilgrimage for Buddhists across the globe. 

Later (depends on your request) we will transfer back to your hotel.

 We will drop you off at Chinatown area in Yangon’s downtown; it is a nice place to get some good food and drink, where you can walk around to enjoy the color of night life. Then back to your hotel by own account.

After breakfast at hotel, we will drive to Yangon airport for your flight to Nyaugn U for the the Bagan Archaeological Tour. 

Upon arrival we will visit highlight including Damayarzaka Pagoda, Shwegugyi and Thabyinnyu. Other highlights include the mural paintings at Gubyukggyi and Abeyadana Temple, which is famed for its mural paintings about Mahayana Buddhism. 

In the evening, we will enjoy Bagan famous sunset at the excellent place, that selected by your guide.

Day 4- Free day in Bagan

Today’s enjoy your free time or explore on your own.

After breakfast, we will drive to Mandalay around 4 hours. In the afternoon visit to another former royal capital, Inwa which was founded in 1364 and which lasted nearly 400 years as a royal capital. Highlights include the ‘ leaning tower of Ava’, Maha Aung Mye Bonzan, a brick-and-stucco monastery, and the elegant teakwood monastery Bagaya Kyaung. 

In the evening we will visit Amarapura, where you will have a chance to enjoy beautiful sunset and walk across the beautiful and unique U Bein Bridge, the longest teak bridge in the world.

In the morning, we will visit the market of Jade stone in downtown, the most important of a country that owns more than 80% of the world’s reserves of this precious stone. 

Then we go to Mandalay jetty, where we take a short and pleasant ride upriver to Mingun, where is best known for its gigantic, unfinished stupa, the Mingun Pahtodawgyi, which was meant to be the largest in the world (at a projected height of 150 meters), but now lies ravaged by earthquakes on the western banks of the Irrawaddy. Nearby we can also visit the Mingun Bell, moved from the zedi after the earthquake and now hung in a new shrine building. It is said to be the largest hanging un-cracked bell in the world. Return to Mandalay.

Afternoon sightseeing tour of Mandalay includes the highly revered Mahamuni Pagoda; a gold leaf hammering craft shop, Shwenandaw Monastery, noted for its exquisite wood carvings; Kuthodaw Pagoda, renowned as the World’s largest book for its 729 stone slabs containing the entire Buddhist scriptures, and if time permits Mandalay Hill for a view over the city and Ayeyarwaddy River.

Fly to Heho. Upon arrival drive to Nyaung Shwe jetty and start our sightseeing by long tailed boat to Inn Paw Khone Village where you can see lotus and silk weaving industries. Next visit Nanpan to see the traditional boat making, cheroot (Burmese cigar) making factory. 

And then continue our visit to the Phaung Daw Oo pagoda, which is the most highly revered monastery in the Inle Lake area. It houses five ancient images of the Buddha that are completely covered in gold leaf. Later we will visit to Thale Oo village, which is nothing more than an authentic agricultural village on the shore of the lake. Abundant rice fields and you can observe the difference in the vegetation.

In the morning, your boat will take you to the crumbling 17th century pagodas at Indein on the western shore of Inle Lake, weaving up narrow creeks as you make your way to the pagodas. Also in the area you will have the chance to explore ethnic Pao villages, after that you will return to Nyaung Shwe. 

Next we head to Intha house, to learn about cooking traditional dishes, including Shan specialties, which are famous across Myanmar.

Transfer to Heho airport for your flight to Yangon. Upon arrival at Yangon domestic airport the driver will transfer to the international terminal airport for your departure onwards flight (OR) transfer to hotel in Yangon.
